Ep 8. Pandemic Legacy – April in Review (GSC104)

In this episode we debrief after our play-through of April. If you’re worried about spoilers make sure to hold off on this episode until you’ve played April in your own game (then rejoin us for this episode).

In addition to the game debrief, listen in for talk around mini-mini-figure painting, time management, appropriate usage of pronouns, and briefly hear the girl from ipanema.

There’s plenty of additional context for this debrief, if you’re interested, which can be found in our April play-through episode.

This episode is part of a series of episodes running through our campaign of Pandemic Legacy, which includes between 12-24 games depending on how well we do. If we win the first 12 (unlikely) that’ll be it. If we lose a lot…it could be 24 (let’s hope not). Listen in to follow our progress and hear our trials and tribulations.

GGS001: Ticket To Ride

We dive right in with Ticket To Ride, which actually was as our gateway game that’s led to so many fun gaming sessions. It’s a go-to for us–especially if we want to pull something out that will be fun for someone who isn’t sure what they think about tabletop games. Jess and I pulled our copy off of the game shelf, played a round (which I lost miserably), then talked about why this game is most definitely a gateway into the hobby. Hint: it’s just about as easy to learn as Go Fish…but compelling enough to keep your attention.
