We dive right in with Ticket To Ride, which actually was as our gateway game that’s led to so many fun gaming sessions. It’s a go-to for us–especially if we want to pull something out that will be fun for someone who isn’t sure what they think about tabletop games. Jess and I pulled our copy off of the game shelf, played a round (which I lost miserably), then talked about why this game is most definitely a gateway into the hobby. Hint: it’s just about as easy to learn as Go Fish…but compelling enough to keep your attention.

We (Matt, Jess, Jenn, and Chas) are about to start our play through of Pandemic: Legacy, the cooperative board game where we save a world on the brink of biological disaster. But in this game, each time we play, the board is permanently changed, new rules are added to the rulebook, cards are ripped up, and additional components are revealed. No two copies of the game will ever play out the same way. This is our story of trying to save the world.
In this episode we start with some introductions then we look ahead to discuss what we think may be coming for us. There is a nervous excitement, and I’m pretty sure we all just want to play the game.
